Supply Chain Management
In WT17/18 this lecture has be taken over from Prof. Sebastian and replaces the lecture "Logistics and Supply Chain Management". Therefore, students that already attended "Supply Chain Management" given by Prof. Sebastian or "Logistics and Supply Chain Management" cannot attend this lecture.
Content
This lecture deals with concepts and theories of interorganisational collaboration in Supply Chains, which are supposed to reduce or to avoid inefficiencies. In this connection the lecture focuses on output orientation in companies (smaller costs, higher sales, higher profit). The theory is tapped off with reviews on practical examples.
Educational objectives
After a successfull completion, the students are capable of
- Recapitulating and understaning a systematical overview of concepts of collaboration in Supply Chains,
- Being in the position to uncover reasons of inefficiency in collaboration in Supply Chains, as well as
- Recapitulating and understanding the critical indicators for the success of collaborations.
